The Glanora letters Season One
The Land of Glanora
Each month, a real letter arrives by post from Kia Wilder, a human stranded in a realm beyond our world.
A monthly snail mail subscription for fantasy lovers, collectors, junk journalers, dreamers of every age, and anyone who still hurries out to the mailbox.
The Story
A Portal Opens
Kia Wilder set out on an ordinary hike through an ordinary forest. Somewhere between one step and the next, the path changed beneath her boots, and she walked through a portal into Glanora: a Victorian nature realm running parallel to our own, where the inhabitants are therians, (part human part animal).
The portal never opens wide enough to bring her back home. Once a month it parts just enough to pass one small parcel through, and so Kia writes about her discoveries and adventures, while trapped in Glanora. Her letters find their way to you.
In Glanora she meets Dr. Bernard Hutchings, a bearded dragon naturalist who prefers curiosity over comfort and the unusual over the ordinary. Their story unfolds across a twelve-month season.

No. 05 Meet the Creator
From My Desk to Your Mailbox
I'm Tashai. I've written four books, and I've shared my life with reptiles for years. Glanora is the place where those two loves finally met.
I write every story, and each piece of original artwork begins with a real photograph. Every letter is handwritten by me, on paper and envelopes specifically curated to be part of the mystique.
My hope is that when you receive your envelope, your world feels a little lighter, filled with the joy of a good story and something real arriving in the mail.
The Story Behind the Story
Glanora began in my favorite antique store.
Sifting through vintage photographs from the 1800s, I began to wonder about the people in them. Their names had long been lost, but on the other side of a portal, they could live again.
I paired each found portrait with my own photographs of the reptiles and amphibians in my life at the time. That is how Glanora was born: a Victorian nature realm with a touch of steampunk, where the forgotten live again, wearing new faces.
